Suwako was originally just a stand-in for an individual in the Blake Izayoi's Social Hub Discord server who just so happened to use Suwako as their profile and name, SWK_MRYA. Eventually, this evolved over time into Suwako herself being integrated into Murasaki Everywhere as a proper major character with a close bond to the Murasaki character.

Suwako's lore remains almost one-to-one as in the Touhou Project canon. She has largely nothing much to do as an ex-goddess with a penchant for mischief after Kanako Yasaka took over. However, come December 7th, 2015, her life changed when she was introduced to an amnesiac Kazuki Murasaki after Sanae invites the latter over.

Murasaki and Suwako shared a great bond with each other, and the three Moriya Shrine residents would allow him to stay, after having previously left the Scarlet Devil Mansion and having dueled Blake Izayoi.

Over the rest of December, she helped Murasaki restart his old yakuza family and decided to join the family herself as its third lieutenant, mostly to amuse herself and keep tabs on Murasaki. Since then, Murasaki and Suwako have become deep allies, and Murasaki respects Suwako greatly and feels indebted to her.
